

Betty Jane Miller was born on October 22, 1940 in Iowa, Louisiana to Nelson Dellafosse and Emelda Dellafosse (Hebert). Betty was the first of nine children born to this union. After moving to Houston she worked many years as a caregiver to the elderly primarily caring for those with Alzheimer and ones in hospice care. At one point she ran and operated over 6 group homes in Houston, Texas. Betty was known by many as a lover of people, good food and music. Betty always enjoyed attending various festivals and visiting museums with her grandchildren and friends. Everyone who came in contact with Betty could always appreciate her candid expressions and loving heart. Betty would always give you her last. Over the years she has opened her home to many due to her generous spirit. Betty dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1986. Although Betty was not perfect, she always did her best to keep her spirituality before her. Betty truly was a one of a kind person to know her was to love and adore her. She was preceded in death by her Husband Bertram Miller. Her mother and father Nelson and Emelda Dellafosse. Son Steve Dellafosse. brothers Nelson, Whitney and Harold and one sister Viola. She leaves behind her children Stephanie Loud (Johnny), Sonia Simpson, Eldridge Neugebauer, Crichelle Bell and Emelda Dellafosse; eight grandchildren, Brezlin, DeEldridge( Fat Fat) Jaceon, Brittany, Genesis, Zion, Gracie and one great-granddaughter Kyree. Betty leaves behind her children, Terry Bowman-Hunter, Corey Simmons, Crichelle Bell (Charles); one sister, Delores Bloomstrom; three brothers Larry Dellafosse, Paul Dellafosse and Robert Dellafosse, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Betty will be greatly missed . The strength, love and memories that she passed on to all of those who loved her can gain great comfort knowing that she is only in a temporary sleep and we all can see her again one day.
