Christene Annette Ford Sampson went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2015.Born to the parentage of Alfred Charles Ford and Virginia Ford on February 8th, 1962,Christene was the second of five children. She attended Madison High School in Houston from where she graduated in 1981. Christene began employment as a care giver at Fun N' Care Childcare Center. However, it wasn't long before she would be promoted to Assistant Director of the facility. Afterwards she began a career as a Paraprofessional in the Alief Independent School District where she worked specifically with children having special needs. Raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord, Christene accepted Jesus as her personal savior. Most currently she was a member of True Light COGIC where her father, Superintendent Alfred Ford, serves as pastor. Christene enjoyed singing and was a member in both her church and district choirs. She was a faithful member in these choirs until her health began to deteriorate. Christene is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kevin Sampson. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Shenise Sampson and Tamika Sampson; one son, Jarvis Sampson; two grandchildren Lailah and Aubrielle; Parents, Superintendent Alfred Ford and Missionary Virginia Ford; two sisters, Charlene Ford Shelby (Ronald) and Carolyn Ford McCarter (Earnest); two brothers, Alan Wilkes Ford (Dawn) and Alfred Charles Ford, II (Temeka); uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, all who were very dear to her; a host of other relatives and friends, as well as the True Light Church Family.
