Mrs. Jewel Jackson Robertson

Jewel Robertson was born in Houston, Texas, along with her twin brother to the late James Jackson Sr. and Mary Lee McGowan Jackson. She was the second of 3 children.

Jewel was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was baptized at an earlier age and remained until she moved her membership to Mount Calm Missionary Baptist Church in 2011. On July 14, 1956 she married the love of her life, Lucky Robertson Jr. Lucky & Jewel were the parents of eight (8) children: Donald, Pamela, Elvin, Melvin, Paulette, Gwendolyn, Mary, & Lucky III.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucky Robertson Jr., her twin brother, James Jackson Jr., her sister, Laura Mae Huelett, her daughter Pamela Busby, sons Melvin Adams, and Donald Robertson. Mrs. Robertson leaves behind to cherish her memories, five children: Elvin, Paulette, Gwendolyn, Mary Inez (Leodis), and Lucky III; 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 4 sister-in-laws: Eva Bowie, Margie McQueen (James), Patricia Roberts, Melba Robertson, and 1 brother-in-law: Jim Robertson and wife Marie; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
