Mrs. Lillian Gene Brooks

Lillian (BaBa) was born on February 19, 1955 to the loving parents of James and Mattie Smith in Houston, Texas. She was the youngest of eight children. Lillian’s religious affiliation began at an early age. She became a member and was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Later she became a member of Northside Missionary Baptist Church. Upon her time of passing, she was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church. Lillian attended J. C. Sanderson Elementary, I. M. Terrell Jr. High, and Kashmere High School. As a single parent, she raised two beautiful boys: Frank and Rodrick “Boosie” whom she loved more than life itself. On October 17, 2017, Lillian was visited by the angel of death and departed this life. Her pain and suffering have ended and she has finally found eternal peace. Lillian was preceded in death by her loving parents James and Mattie Smith; two sisters Eva Lee and Janice Faye: one brother Alonzo; and 2 nieces Patricia and Lil BaBa. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons Rodrick “Boosie” and Frank (Niecy); one grandson Rodrick, Jr. “Duce”; one granddaughter Amya; two sisters Hedy Allen and Dorothy Cormier (Curley); two brothers James Smith (Rosa Lee) and William Smith (Margie) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
