Mrs. Ruthie Mae Holcombe

Ruthie Lee Holcomb was born to the late Dallas and Lee Ethel Phillips Young on September 1, 1938 in Bell County, Texas. She passed away on April 2, 2017. She was a member of the Church of Christ, baptized under the leadership of Brother Willie A. McGilbrey at an early age. Later she attended the Trinity Garden Church of Christ in Houston, Texas under the leadership of Brother Timothy Daniel until her health failed. She received her education from Sam Houston High School in Huntsville, Texas. She was married to the late Kirby Holcomb. Ruthie is preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Lee Ethel Young; husband Kirby Holcomb; brother J. C. Young, D. J. Young; sister Rosie Young; granddaughter Chincel Seymore. Ruthie leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughter Jeruthie Young Flournoy (Jesse) of Lufkin, Texas; son Elvin Young (Cherry) of Huntsville, Texas; brother Chester Young of Houston, Texas; sisters Zeddie Bowen of Montgomery, Texas, Hattie Doyle (Johnny) of Klamath, Oregon, Cainiece Young and Henrietta Young of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren Lacrystaa Anderson (Jerry), Lillieanna Young, Thaddaeus Young, Theophilus Young, Garry Winbush, Marcus Winbush; great grandchildren Kelvin Williams, Lajerria Anderson, Irony Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends.
