Josephine Louise (Sinclair) and David Eugene Butler welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world on July 1st 1946 in Highland Park, Michigan. They named her Suzette Marie. She was the youngest of her siblings: Myrtle Lee Sinclair, Joseph Henry Sinclair, and Sally Ann who preceded her in transition. She was a bright, witty child with a wicked sense of humor. She has said that she laughed when she told the truth and was straight-faced when she told a fib so would always get in trouble when she told the truth. Growing up she was athletic, she played varsity basketball in high school and wanted to be a pharmacist. Life however had different plans. She met the love of her life, Charles Daniel at house party. And though cliched, she said she knew from the start that he was ‘the one”. They became a couple over a pumping Rolling Stones track and married in December of 1966 and remained so until death did part them in September 2007. This Union was blessed with 5 gorgeous Children - Sheri Elaine, Jeffery Garland, Sharron Marie, Jason Bradford, and Shauna Lynn. Mom was a spitfire and yet so very loving. She could cut you with a look then stun you with her generosity. The classic old school sour patch kid. She would do anything for you. Anything to help you. Even if it were self- detrimental at times. She gave and hugged and smiled and supported. We, her family, and so many others benefited and were amplified by her because she “love(d) you more” It was always a kick to us when someone thought that mom was just a quiet, reserved person, though she could be, she loved her books and her music. She would also hop on Dad’s or one of her grandsons motorcycle… And not as a passenger and zip away! She wore cowboy hats while smoking cigars and driving a 34’ motor coach all the while laughing at the double-takes of truckers going by. Mom was saucy and hilarious and stubborn - which was passed down to her kids and grandkids of course. She was also madly brave! Head on facing life’s challenges and difficulties. She bent but never broke. And though she has us, her biological family, we recognize that she had family way beyond us. Her Walgreens family. Neighbors that became family. Friends of the family that became family. She loved us all! She supported us all! Suzette unexpectedly left this earthly realm on June the 18 2019. Leaving a large void in our lives. With her passing she leaves her five children: Sheri, Jeffery(Randy), Sharron, Jason, and Shauna. 15 grandchildren Kyle, William, Tiffany, Kalin, Cory, Jordan (RIH), Charles, Ajenai, Mateia, Ja Von, Kiyel, Jacques, Jarrod, Devuan, and Lucian. Eight great Grandchildren: Jante, Jada, Correlle, Kelvin, Cory, Alani, Amir, and Kayla. Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends near and far. She has now rejoined her Love, Charles, who still made her smile slyly when she spoke about him. Those of us who remain in the 3D miss her greatly. Know that we love you, Mom! We also know that she would say... “Not As Much As I Love You
