

Murry D. Buller, passed away on May 12, 2013 at his residence in Houston, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 18, 1926 in Houston, Texas to Tressie and A.L. Buller. Murry served his country during WWII in U.S. Navy. He was a proud graduate of the University of Houston and received his Masters of Art from Stephen F. Austin. Murry was an educator in Texas public schools for 35 years. During that time he positively affected many young people, giving them guidance for better opportunities in their lives.
Murry was strong in his faith as a Christian and was a member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Murry was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Armon, Sidney and Talmadge Buller. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Pate Buller; his daughters Denise Miller and husband Michael and Ramona Betancourt and husband John "Bert"; his grandchildren Jennifer Hawkins and husband Bryan, Justin McCarty, Katie Ghutzman and husband Stephen, Brooke Williams and husband Jeff and Laura McCarty; his great-grandchildren, Chloe Williams, Jack Hawkins and Peyton Ghutzman.
Visitation with the family will be from 6pm until 8pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Brookside Funeral Home Champions. A graveside service and committal will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Corrigan, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Murry’s honor to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, Girlstown USA and Family Resource Center, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
