Born in Brownsville, Texas on October 23, 1969, Myrna made Houston her home for the past 27 years. She earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant and spent many years caring for others through her work as a caregiver. Her compassionate nature and servant’s heart were evident in both her professional and personal life. In 2014, Myrna answered the Lord’s call and dedicated her life to Christ. Her faith became an important part of who she was, guiding the love, kindness, and compassion she so freely gave to her family and everyone around her.
Above all else, Myrna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She found her greatest joy in caring for her family and helping raise her beloved grandchildren. She had a special gift for bringing people together and making every gathering feel memorable. Whether she was planning a party, decorating for a celebration, creating arts and crafts, or preparing a meal for those she loved, Myrna poured her heart into everything she did. Her warmth, generosity, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Myrna is survived by her loving husband, Pablo Martinez; her children, Derek (Andreanna) Malone and Gabriella Malone; her cherished grandchildren, Steven Thomas, Dinem Raglin, Leevii Raglin, and Dior Raglin; her father, Macario Gonzalez; her sisters, Anna (Joe) Rosas, Esmeralda (Daniel) Padron, Elda (Steve) Perez, Gracie Rodriguez, and Martha (Nasir) Janjuah; her brothers, Arnold Campos, Joel Campos, Macario Jay (Norma) Gonzalez, and Rick (Daisy) Gonzalez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Gonzalez; Gilbert Campos and Jerry Gonzalez; and her beloved niece, Irma Villarreal.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Myrna’s life at Brookside Funeral Home. Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by public visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she leaves behind. Her legacy will continue through the family she cherished and the countless people blessed to have known her.
