

Nancy Allen Blakemore Renaud was born the 31st of March 1922 in Houston to Mamie Blakemore and William Allen Blakemore. She attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, Lanier Junior High and was a member of the 2nd graduating class of Lamar High School. She then attended Rice University and graduated with an English degree.
Nancy Allen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A. Fred Renaud Jr. whom she married in 1943. She has been a member of South Main Baptist Church, Samuel Sorrel Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution, Tanglewood Garden Club, Owen Wister Literary Society, Rice Owls and a sustaining member of Junior Forum of Houston. Nancy Allen believed in serving her community by volunteering with many organizations in the Houston area.
She had a passion for traveling which took her to many countries to make new experiences. Nancy Allen had a love for needlepoint, flowers, art exhibits, museums and antiques. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time at Lake Houston with her family and friends. She did considerable work with genealogy and traced her family back many centuries. She enjoyed living at the Hallmark with many of her friends from grade school through college years.
Nancy Allen is survived by her daughter, Nancedale Renaud and her son Christian Renaud; son, Rick Renaud and his wife Nancy Ann and their children, Ashley Renaud and Todd Renaud and wife Molly and their children Grace Ann and Jack Renaud; brother, John Blakemore and his wife Barbara. She is also survived by nephew, Allen Blakemore and wife Elizabeth and their children, Charlotte and Sarah; niece, Kathy Sanders and her children Emily and TJ.
The family will gather for a private interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
