Nathaniel Elson Carter was born December 16, 1947 to Tobe and Lucille Brooks Carter in New Orleans, Louisiana. After decades of faithful service, he retired from the United States Postal Service. As a lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. Nat, as he was known to family, also enjoyed good music and was a car enthusiast.
He peacefully exited into his Savior’s presence on January 14, 2022.
Nat is survived by a family he dearly loved, including his devoted wife of 45 years, Donna; two brothers, Emanuel and Dennis Carter; mother-in-law, Margreat Bush; four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A funeral service for Nathaniel will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, followed by burial from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, both located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
