

Natividad Garza, 82, born September 8, 1932 in Edinburg, Texas entered into eternal rest on October 9, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Julio Garza, Sr. and mother Juanita Casarez and step- mother Guadalupe Hernandez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Petra Fabian Garza and daughters, Christina Marentes, Sandra Nuñez, Dolores Wright, Elizabeth Melchor and his only son, Javier Jaime Garza, along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Nat, or as some of his friends and family called him “ Uncle Tex” or “Tiva”, was born and lived most of his life in Texas but moved to the Chicago area in the mid 1950’s until 1971 when he moved his wife and 5 children to Houston, Texas. While in Illinois, he developed his skills as a Tool and Die Maker, e.g., Machinist and continued his work in Houston and then in 1982, he established his own machine shop –Nat’s Machine Shop. He worked very hard to give his wife and children all the comforts of life and to live the all American dream.
He was a proud Korean Army Veteran which he served oversees in Korea and Japan from 1952-1954. Also, he was a devoted Christian and was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church since 1971.
