Toots (and Nora) has been a friend of our Canlas/Bigalbal family since mid 80’s
and a Godfather to our first born, Natalie.
My memories of Toots being such a gentleman, caring, kind, funny and having that contagious deep voice laugh. I can still hear that laugh and picture his smile from ear to ear. I regretfully lost touch with Toots and Nora after I went my separate ways and eventually moved out of town but I will never forget the wonderful memories I had with them.
My girls always kept me in the loop whenever they would see their Uncle Toots and Tita Nora. My dear Nora and the Silva family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Toots will be missed by all who loved him. Rest na our dear Toots. We love you.

Your amazing Smile will always be what I remember about you my dear sweet friend. I had the honor and privilege to know you through work, a fellow Colon Cancer fighter, and a dear friend. Together... we talked about way to beat this and ways to stay positive even when those hard to face days were upon us. I am forever grateful for calling you my friend. You continually gave your heart and attention to all others even when you were in pain. Your main concern was and has always been for your family and friends. You will be greatly missed. Love ya Nester. Thank you for always being there for me. I will see you again and think of you always. Your friend, Shannon

Rest in peace my dear brother Nestor. How we wished we were there in your last days but due to covid, we could not. You were so sweet. Every time we texted, there was always “I love you” at the end. I will not forget your last words to me when you greeted me on my birthday last September 29 – “Love you will all my heart.”
