

Nickey was born to the late Joe and Rose Ferlito in Bossier City, LA, in 1946. He is survived by his wife, Linda Joan McClellan, daughter Deanna Huffmeister and husband Mason of Cypress, TX; son Nick Ferlito, Jr. and wife Brin of Baton Rouge, LA; sister Antonitte Leone and husband Johnny of Shreveport, LA; sister Mary Vickie Cobbs and husband Raymond of Greenville, TX; sister Rose Ann Cash and husband Benny of Shreveport, LA; brother Joseph Ferlito and wife Pat of Bossier City, LA; and grandchildren Alex, Ace and Kellie Huffmeister; and James and Alexis Kern. Nickey was a devoted Catholic and loved his family dearly.
Nickey worked for the City of Bossier for 25 years, beginning his career in traffic engineering and then transferring to Parks and Recreation managing South Bossier facilities. Mike Woods Park became his pride and joy, and he faithfully maintained it for Bossier City residents and visitors for 20 years. He retired to Cypress, TX, with his wife Joan, where they enjoyed raising their grandkids and attending Margarita Fridays with family and friends. A passionate LSU fan, Nickey enjoyed attending football games and tailgating in person when he could. Even if not in attendance, he could be found watching his Tigers with family and friends.
