Nicole Cravath Ward, born on the 29th March 1977, in Houston, passed away on the 27th of August 2010. Her love of children manifested itself during her many years of babysitting and time as a preschool teacher. She was loved by all her students. Her favorite part of school was when she led the sing-a-long with her students. She loved movies which resulted in her speech being peppered with classic quotes such as, “what we have here is a failure to communicate.” She loved music and carefree dancing with her friends. Most of all, she loved her precious dogs, Sapphire and Pearl. She was very loving and touched the hearts of all those she encountered. She had a compassionate and very forgiving disposition. Best of all, she had a fabulous, quirky sense of humor that kept her family and friends laughing as they shared time with her.
She is survived by her parents, Warren and Kay Ward; her sister, Laura Alford and husband Mark and their children, Lyle and Leah; her brother, Anthony and wife Angela and their children Abe and Aggie; and by her cousins, Holly and Dean and his wife Jamie and their daughter Kadie.
A memorial service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 30th of August, in the chapel of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Drive in Houston, where the Rev. Dr. Dave Peterson, Senior Pastor, is to officiate.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the church parlor.
