

Nona L. King was born on May 2, 1924, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. She lived 90 years being a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. Over the years the family worshipped with Churches of Christ in North Houston, Kinwood and Deerbrook. She was also a girl scout leader. On October 12, 2014, she passed from this life. She and husband, Jimmy, were married 53 years. They founded their retirement business, Kings Gem Center, operating it for 40 years. She is survived by daughter, Carol and husband Kenny McGee; sons: Jimmy and wife Mary; Billy; David and wife Carolyn. Grandchildren: Jason; Robert and wife Mandy; Tracy and husband Kenny Elledge; Travis and wife Rose. Great-grandchildren: Ashlyn and Briana Elledge; Patrick and Lynsie King; Nathan and Levi King. Our special thanks to caregivers: Becca Huff, Susan Gomez; Mary Jones; Paula Blount; Tina Wilson; Carol Huffman; Retha Huber. Family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 5 - 8 P.M. at Brookside Funeral Home. Services to begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 17, 2014 with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
