

Nora B. Potter passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She was born on May 14, 1932 to parents Eugenia and Boleslaw Kowalczyk in Brooklyn, New York. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, William. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Potter Madden of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren Melanie and Dylan Madden and multiple nieces and nephews and beloved friends. Nora worked for many years in the oil business for Chevron Oil Company as well as Baker Hughes. Prior to her retirement, she was the President of her own business, N.P. Enterprises and Norstaff Personnel Services. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a vigil service at 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, June 18, 2012 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Dr. in Houston with Rev. John E. Cahoon, J.C.L. as Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Dr. in Houston, TX.
