

Norma Eleanor Indovina Solodyna, age 76, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior and into the company of her beloved husband Larry and daughter Doretta on Monday, June 11, 2012. She was born to parents Michael Indovina and Mary Tamiazzo Indovina on July 21, 1935 in Chicago, IL. Norma met and later married the love of her life, Lawrence Stanley Solodyna on December 27, 1958 at St. Theresa of the Little Flower. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mundelein College in 1958 and spent her life career as a teacher of art and music at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. To many students, she was their beloved piano teacher. She was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her four children: Larry (Nina) Solo, Cynthia (Dan) McNinch, Rose Solodyna, Barbara (Ed) Loya, Her loved and cherished grandchildren: Austin and Ben Rabinoff, Nick and Blake Solo, Patrick and Megan McNinch, Phoebe, Sophia, Edward and Vincent Loya, two sisters: Mary Ann Larsen and Alice Jean Talarico.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 1:30pm at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc Dr. Houston, Texas 77024. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm with a Vigil starting at 7:00pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Fwy., Houston, Texas 77024. A private burial will take place on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association at 2400 Augusta Drive Ste. 175, Houston, Texas 77057.
