

Remembering the Life and Legacy of Deacon Norris Samuel Frazier
On June 8, 1950, Norris Samuel Frazier was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Ella D. Bell. He was raised in Gayles, Louisiana and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1968.
After graduating, he moved to Houston in pursuit of a better life. On January 8, 1973, he married his soulmate, Sealie Ann Wiggins. Their 53-year union produced two children, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He was a dedicated member, deacon, and elder of Sunbeam Baptist Church for over 50 years. His love of Christ was evident in the way he drew others in and built a life grounded in integrity and compassion. He carried resilience and faith through every challenge, and welcomed every joy with a grateful heart.
He was a loyal employee at Bemis Brothers Bag Company as a machine operator. He was also employed at AABC Appliance and ARS/Rescue Rooter as an appliance installer and transporter specialist.
Family and friends will remember his warm laugh, quick wit, and sense of humor, as well as his love for sports, dominoes, and his unwavering faith in the Dallas Cowboys. His coworkers will remember him as a hard worker who took pride in the relationships they built together. His church family will remember him as a skilled teacher of God’s Word, a prayer warrior, and a man of steadfast faith. His wife and daughter will remember him as a man that worked endless hours to provide, while covering his household with prayer, the Word of God and love.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella D. Bell; his sister, Melba Avery; and his son, Norris Darshell Frazier.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sealie Frazier; daughter, LaTia Foster (Zachary Foster); his brother, Pastor Charles B. Frazier (Venora Frazier); brothers-in- law Hollis Williams (Carolyn Williams); Sheldon Williams (Geraldine Williams) and Kenneth Smith (Paulette Smith); grandchildren, Trevion Cooks and Israel Foster; and great-grandchildren, Jay’den Muhammad and Bahari Cooks. He will also be remembered
