Olga "Zat" Zatarain Rolle

Zat attended school in New Orleans and the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She married the love of her life, Richard E. Rolle from Houston, Texas on the 25th of February 1956. They resided in Houston and were married 47 years until his passing.

Zat was a life member of the Blue Bird Circle, the Colonneh Club Auxiliary, and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church of Houston.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Rolle, her sister, June Zatarain Bertucci, and brother-in-law, Dr. Alvin C. Bertucci. She is survived by her nephews, George Dullnig, Richard Dullnig, Robert Dullnig of San Antonio, TX, and Duane Bertucci of Gulfport, MS. As well as her nieces, June Bertucci Logan, Jill Bertucci Perez, and Joy Bertucci Wade of New Orleans, LA.

Her family takes comfort in knowing their aunt and great aunt lived a full one hundred years and is now reunited with her beloved husband.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Al Goeler, Zat’s dedicated physician and his nurse, Diana Fadrique. The family is also grateful to her devoted Head Caregiver, Keyie (Kia) Cross, who cared for her for ten years and who organized a wonderful caregiving team that included Beverly Thomas, Saundra Danmola, Kimberly Fontenot, Gabriela Gaxzon, and Presha Lewis for the excellent care they gave Mrs. Rolle. The family also extends heartfelt appreciation to her friends and neighbors who showed her continuous love and kindness.
