Olibella Albarran

Born and educated in Mexico, Olibella immigrated to the United States at 18 years old—carrying with her a steady courage and a quiet wisdom that would guide her through every season of life.

A devoted, hard-working presence in all she did, Olibella spent her life in the food industry and served her community through her work, including more than 25 years with Whataburger. Her constancy and selfless dedication were felt not only in the responsibilities she carried, but in the care she extended to others day after day.

Olibella shared her life with her spouse, Antonio Herrera. She was a beloved mother to Atanacio Sanchez, Nestor Sanchez, Kimberly Ochoa, and Jennifer Lopez, and a proud grandmother to Eric, Estrella, Adrian, Kelly, AJ, Noah, and Ezra. Her generous spirit shone brightest with her grandchildren—she delighted in every opportunity to surround them with affection and thoughtful gifts, and her love for them was as abundant as it was unwavering.

She found joy and peace in gardening and house plants, tending them with a true green thumb and the same patient attention she gave to those she loved. She also cherished the world of fragrance, collecting perfumes and carrying herself with a grace that was unmistakable—always, as her family remembers, smelling beautiful. She shared these passions freely, whether gifting a plant, offering a favorite scent, or speaking with heartfelt pride about her grandchildren.

Olibella will be remembered as one of the sweetest human beings—wise, brave, and profoundly giving. She was the leader of her family, a welcoming presence whose door was always open and whose heart made room for anyone in need. With warmth and steadiness, she offered comfort without judgment, and her legacy will live on in the lives she touched through her kindness and generosity.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on May 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on May 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Committal Service will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on May 13, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Active pallbearers will be Atanacio Sánchez, Néstor Sánchez, Eric Sánchez, Israel Albarrán, Manuel Hinojosa, and Armando Méndez.

The family would like to thank all her sisters and brothers for supporting them throughout this journey. Their presence, care, and strength have meant more than words can express during a time that would have been far more difficult to navigate without them.
