Oliver Walter Johnson

Oliver Walter Johnson was born July 7, 1931, to the parentage of the late Sam Johnson and Levola Vivian Robinson Johnson. Oliver also had a son Barney, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death, sister Ruby Kizzee, two brothers, Boscoe Johnson & Neff Johnson.

Oliver attended and graduated from high school in Lovelady, Texas. He loved sports and games. He was an avid pool and Domino player where he participated in neighborhood and club tournaments.

Oliver was a quiet, soft-spoken man however, when he spoke, he had plenty to say. He was known by his friends and family as “baby son”, “OW”, and “Mr. J”.

He was survived by his children Gloria, Linda, Kenneth (Jean), Reginald (Andrea), Christina, Andrea, and Jonathan; along with seven grandchildren, eleven

great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins and friends.

A visitation for Oliver will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal will occur Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at PARADISE NORTH CEMETERY, 10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088.
