Olivia was born on March 5, 1935, in Sheldon, Texas, to Manuel and Eva Meza. She was raised with strong family values and a caring spirit that remained with her throughout her life. On February 20, 1974, she married the love of her life, Luis A. DeLuna, and together they shared many happy years.
Olivia was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church Women's Ministry and found great joy in serving others. She had a passion for gardening, was an active member of her quilt club, and generously gave her time through community service. She will be remembered for her kindness, faith, creativity, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Eva Meza; her beloved husband, Luis A. DeLuna; her son, Daniel Garcia; her brother, Jonas Meza; and her granddaughter, Michelle Aguilar.
Olivia leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Susan Garcia, Carmen Juarez, Evaristo Garcia (Mary Ellen), Mark Aguilar (Flora), and Eva Barnes (Harry); her grandchildren, Casandra Chavez, Paul Navejar, Elizabeth Navejar, Johnathan Navejar, Jacqueline Juarez, Jessica Castellano, Jennifer Pettine, Candie Syon, Christopher Syon, Christian Syon, Robert Newton, Cynthia Trigazis, Eric Aguilar, Brandon Garcia, Jessica Delgaldino, and Daniel Garcia; as well as many treasured great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Olivia's legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
A Chapel Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., TX 77003, US, on August 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a Committal Service at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, US, on August 3, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Pallbearers will be Paul Navejar, Johnathan Navejar, Christopher Syon, Christian Syon, Robert Newton, Eric Aguilar, Nathan Chavez, Matthew Chavez, with honorary pallbearers Evaristo Garcia Jr., Mark Aguilar, Harry Barnes, Ruben Chavez & Cole Bellard.
