Omega McCracken

Omega Jane McCracken, age 87, of Hemphill, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2022. She was born in Paris, Texas on April 6, 1935 to parents Dorothy Jones and Ira Jones. She was three days shy of turning 18 when she married her beloved husband Clyde McCracken in Houston, Texas on April 3, 1953.

Omega and Clyde were inseparable for 36 years until the year of his passing. Omega lived the remaining 33 years of her life loving and being loved by so many. To know her, was to truly love her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband William Clyde McCracken; parents Ira and Dorothy Jones.

She is survived by her two children Brian McCracken and wife Oddlaug, Craig McCracken and wife Deadra; four grandchildren Jeremy McCracken, Andrew McCracken, Morgan Brandes and Macey McCracken; seven great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; sister Bobbie Macey and husband Norman; along with numerous family and friends.

A visitation for Omega will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A burial will occur Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
