Our Family wants to THANK you all for your kind thoughts; flower/plants; your love, respect, & admiration for Mom; your heartfelt prayers for her recovery: and your presence at Mom, Opal Havens' Visitation and/or the Celebration Service ....... words cannot express our appreciation for your show of support while she was sick(people that visited and/or wanted to visit her, offers to bring food, or help us in any way ... clean, run errands, etc. ..... it was overwhelming and you are still offering to help us in our grief ).... we want y'all to know that while we are broken-hearted, we know with certainty that Mom is in Jesus' arms, well again and rejoicing with all of her loved ones that passed before and after her .... THANK you all and may GOD BLESS you abundantly!!! With LOVE, Opal's Family!!!

I met Opal 2 years ago when she did our taxes in 2018. I never wanted another person to do my taxes ever again. We only saw her twice and she left a larger than life impression with me and my family. When HR block called me to reschedule and I found out that Opal passed away, I cried harder than you should for someone you’ve only met twice. But that shows what a wonderful human being she was. My heart is sad she is gone, but I am so grateful that I got a chance to meet such a lovely woman. I will never forget her beautiful colorful clothing, her matching and eccentric rings and jewelry, and how each time I saw her, she had her face perfectly made up. And her wonderful personality to match. I loved the time spent with her and am sending my most heartfelt condolences to her family and friends that knew her better than myself. God bless you all, I know you will miss her because I didn’t know her very well but I miss her already.

Opal was the most wonderful person I have ever known. She taught us all what it was to be a servant of the Lord and what we were meant to be on this earth. A loving, caring, selfless, and generous person. She not only raised her children, but also most of us at FMC. She was the mom I never had. I love her so much. My heart breaks. She deserves every crown the Lord has to offer.

I just want to say what a joy it was every year to have my taxes done. And nobody like that but Miss Opal made it tolerable. It was a trip to find out she was the Aunt to one of my besties from work. She was a sweet kind loving person. I will miss her smiling face. My condolences to her family. DIANE

I met Opal at H&R Block, she did my taxes for several years. I looked forward to seeing her well put together face, nails, jewelry and outfit. She was such a joy to work with. She was cheerful, funny and had me laughing throughout the time We spent completing my taxes. I was heart broken to learn of Opal’s passing. I will surely miss you Opal! I still cry when I think about you. May your soul Rest In Peace.

Aunt Opal was one of the most loving and forgiving individuals that I had the pleasure of knowing!! She always had a smile on her face and open arms to give you that hug that you so desperately needed.!! I know that you are rejoicing with your loved ones as much as they are with you!! Give my Daddy an extra hug for me!! There is just never enough time!!

All my love,

I am so sorry to learn that Opal has passed. My sincere condolences to Susan, and to the rest of the family. I always enjoyed my interactions with Opal in the years we worked at FMC together, and more recently the times we got to visit at some event where we both attended. I know we all enjoyed Opal at the "all employee meetings"where one could bet that she would pose some poignant question to Netherland if he was presenting, but always in good fun. She was a fine lady with a great personality, always friendly with her special smile, twinkle in her eye, kind words, and a hug. May you rest in peace Opal. We will always cherish the wonderful memories you gave us to keep forever.
