Oscar William "Bill" Hessel, 89, passed away on January 27, 2014. A native of Houston, born August 15, 1924 to Hedwig Elizabeth and Oscar Ferdinand Hessel. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Hessel is survived by his sons John Hessel and his wife Susan, Richard Hessel and wife, Patricia; daughter Susan Hessel and husband, Charles Armstrong; brother, Edwin and sister, Mae. He is also survived by the ones that gave his life meaning - his grandchildren Hayley Hessel, Seaira and Hayden Hessel, and Hannah and William Armstrong. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 1st, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. with the funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
