So sorry to hear about Bubba's passing . He will be greatly missed . He was so full of mischief , could always bring a smile to your face . Bentley could always keep him busy besides the business.  Going to miss him . Bubba is now truly fishing with the great One.

Hard to believe that Bubba has passed on, we last visited in 2008 and planned to make the trip again.  I am one of his first cousins and about 10 years younger, and he was really special to me when I was a young guy. I was there a lot when Uncle Overton started the Bait House in the mid 1950's.  Bubba was there quite a bit then, and I followed him around like a puppy dog.  It was all fun; blowing gallon cans 100' feet in the air with cherry bombs, riding in the truck with Bubba to get a load of minnows, and sitting in my own chair in the bait house counting out 50 worms (give them 52) per cup. Bubba was part of the best memories of my life, and he made me feel like a big deal.  We moved to California in 1958,but my Mom, Maxine, kept in close touch with all of the Texas relatives, and we had some great visits over the years with Bubba in Texas and California.  Miss you Bubba!

Uncle Bubba.....you will be sorely missed. You were a major part of my growing up years and I have memories of you that I will never forget. Travis, I know you are proud of your Dad, so stay strong and keep your family close...and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask.

Best brother one could have!  So kind to
everyone.  Friends were very important to him.  Thought I would teach him to protect himself (while being kids)...  went toward him w/boxing gloves..he started crying.  He had a heart of Gold.  We will miss him terribly.  We love you Bubba.

I will miss my Big Brother very much.  He was a wonderful brother and a wonderful father to Travis.  Being the middle child, Norma and I thought we had to defend him & protect him.  When we were kids he wanted to learn to roller skate.  Norma & I tried, and tried to teach him, He Never Learned.  We love you Bubba.
