

She was born to the late Samuel and Isabel Madrid on March 17, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas.
Patricia graduated from Saint Teresa’s Academy and San Antonio College; attended Houston Baptist University and is a graduate of the School of Ministry in Houston, Texas.
She married Al M. Garcia Jr. in 1956, and over the years they resided in San Antonio, TX, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Florida out of the country for 5 years. They relocated and resided in Houston, TX for the past 50 years where Patricia and Al made their home.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 64 years Al M. Garcia Jr.; two children Yvette Smith, Al M. Garcia III & wife Tara; four spiritual grandchildren: Picklo daughters Stephanie Roberts, Tiffany DeShazer, Courtney Holmes, and Whitney Dorton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a volunteer at the Richmond State School where she met Pat Robertson and became her legal guardian for twenty years. Pat and Patricia had a special bond. Pat Robertson preceded Patricia in death.
Additionally, she had countless spiritual sons and daughters which she loved with all her heart.
Yolanda Garcia was Patricia’s special friend and companion for many years. They shared a special friendship.
Patricia had a servants’ heart and never met a stranger. When you spoke to Patricia, she made you feel like you were the most important person at that moment.
Patricia co-pastored with husband Al M. Garcia Jr. for twenty years. She served our Lord Jesus Christ for more than thirty years in the ministry.
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by family and so many.
Patricia has Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven.
