I met Ms. Pat (we NEVER called her Pat. It was Mrs. Lewis or Ms. Pat ) at LBJ hospital in 1996. I was a fresh from school RN and terrified. Ms. Pat took a lot of us under her wings. She was always the first in line to give us a hug on a bad day, a high-five when we had done something note-worthy, and a stern look when we fell short of expectations. She was always dressed impeccably, her manners were above reproach, and she was one of the kindest people I know. She even once offered to give me lessons on “how to catch a Christian man”. That’s how much love she put out into the world.
I deeply regret losing touch these past few years. Friends like her are few and far between
My condolences to the family. She touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.

There may be times when you seem like you can't go forward, but at least you do not have to go backward. Stand firmly on what you know about God. Tell yourself I am going to stand strong until He delivers me. Treasure the memories you and mom had in your heart.

Pastor Davis and I are praying with you during these challenging times.

I will always remember her smiling face. Alway a lady in her mannerism. I met Pat after she took ill...only wishing I had met her earlier..she had class and spunk! She was my friend and I loved her.
