Patricia G. Millis , 82, began a new life with her Lord and Savior on December 30, 2011. She was born in Ranger, Texas to Francis Eugene and Eunice Yonker and moved to Houston in 1944 to finish high school at San Jacinto High and to complete her B.S. degree at the University of Houston. While working her way through college, she met her husband to be for 62 years, C. Wayne Millis, and they were married on July 9, 1949.
Pat had a servant's heart and loved cooking, travel, history and taking care of her husband and family. She and Wayne traveled all over the world many times and she particularly liked to visit old castles, homes and churches. Pat had a relentless work ethic and a great sense of humor while raising her four surviving children; Mark, Jason, Patrick and Michelle.
Mrs. Millis, an only child, is survived by her husband Wayne, her four children, nine grandchildren, Marshall, Joni, Chad, Haley, James, Chase, Zachery, Kaylan, and Aubrey and three great grand children, Cadence, Micah and Hayden. Pat and Wayne were members of the First United Methodist Church in Sugar Land. A heartfelt thanks is attributed to Plantation Personal Care Home in Fresno, Texas for their overwhelming kindness in taking care of Pat in her time of need.
The family will welcome friends at a visitation on Tuesday January 3, at five in the evening at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 4, beginning at Two O'clock in the afternoon at the Funeral Home.
