Patrick Christopher Trewitt
March 31, 1955 – July 31, 2018
Patrick Christopher Trewitt, age 63, left his earthly home on Tuesday, the 31st of July 2018. He died peacefully at home after a short and hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was born in Houston on the 31st of March 1955.
Patrick was a loving and devoted husband; father, brother, uncle and friend. He attended St. Thomas High School and attended Holy Redeemer College in Slidell, Louisiana. Patrick worked as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. He was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugarland, Knights of Columbus Council # 8771 and The Texas Society of Professional Land Surveyors. Patrick was an avid Astros and Texans fan.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents, Michael Collins Trewitt, Sr. and Virginia Mae (Baildon) Trewitt Guinn; his wife, Rebecca Sue Trewitt; and his sister, Kathleen Trewitt Melancon. He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Trewitt; sister, Cheryl Trewitt Cassady and her husband Mike; brother, Michael Trewitt and his wife Donna; step-sister, Terry Garland and her husband Kenneth; sister-in-law, Gena Taylor, step-daughter, Rhonda York; step-brothers, Tim Dunlap and Trey Dunlap. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Patrick will be greatly missed by his family.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 10th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where recitation of the Holy Rosary is to follow.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 11th of August, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church; 1801 Sage Road in Houston, where the Rev. Michael A. Applegate, is to serve as celebrant.
The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
Honored to serve as pallbearers during services are James Henderson, Joel Hiller, Brad Hubenak, Derek Hubenak, Lane Hubenak, Michael Morgan, Christian Offenberger, and Rod Reese. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jay Early, Jay Kenneth Garland, Daren Hubenak, Pedro Solis, members of Knights of Columbus Council # 8771, members of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Cypress, and his co-workers at Precision Surveying in Houston.
Immediately following the Rite of Committal, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at a venue to be announced during the services.
