

Patsyruth W. Angel was born in Anahuac, Texas on the 14th of March 1933 to Samuel Roy and Ethyle Irene Herman White, and passed away in Houston on Wednesday, the 22nd of November 2023. She was 90 years of age.
Following her 1949 graduation from Anahuac High School, Patty enrolled in Southern Methodist University and later earned a degree from Lamar College in 1965.
She married Dr. Jorge Angel in 1989 and created lifelong memories traveling the world together.
A beautiful lady, with a welcoming smile, Patty lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, grandmother, teacher, real estate agent and dress shop owner. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was happiest when the family gathered for the holidays around the table telling stories and enjoying one of her delicious meals.
Patty also enjoyed spending time gardening, painting, jewelry-making, Mahjong and reading. Jorge and she gained numerous friends during their later years at The Buckingham in Houston.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jorge; and her sister, DeLois Mohrle. She is survived by her daughter, Shari Wheeler Parks and her husband Joe of Asheville, North Carolina; son, Roy White Wheeler and his wife Debbie of The Hills, Texas; and stepdaughter, Virginia Angel of Houston. She was very proud of her five grandchildren, Jenna Wheeler Stapleton and her husband Michael of Portland, Oregon; Courtney Wheeler Brummert and her husband Nathaniel of Houston; Leslie Parks of Dallas; John Parks and his wife Marissa of San Rafael, California, and Cristina Aliseda of Houston. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Emi and Miki Stapleton, Olivia and Royce Brummert, and Kaia Parks.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 26th of January 2024 in the Christ Chapel of St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the nearby Chapel Reception Hall.
