Paul Anthony Andrews

November 9, 1978 – July 20, 2025

On July 20th, 2025, our beloved Paul Anthony Andrews aka “Genius” departed this life to enter eternal rest at the age of 46. He was a cherished Husband, Father, Son, Grandson, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, and guiding light to those who knew him.

A wake will be held on Friday August 29th from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM at Garden Oaks Funeral Home. A traditional wake will be held afterwards at his parent's home.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at Garden Oaks Funeral home. The visitation will take place from 01:00 PM - 2:00 PM. The funeral service will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with Bishop Richard Campbell officiating.

Paul aka Genius was born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America to Benjamin and Ruby Andrews on November 9th, 1978. He attended Paradise Primary and later Hastings High School. After moving to the United States, he graduated from Texas Southern University. He was a businessman who also worked in aviation for the City of Houston’s International Airport Safety & Regulation Division.

He will be reunited in glory with his grandparents, Ebenezer and Mary Pyle of Paradise, Rev. Benjamin and Adina Andrews of Golden Grove; his siblings, Junior and Lydia Andrews; his aunts, Esther Rodney and Gwendolyn Clarke; and his uncles, Daniel Pyle and Oscar Andrews.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Juanita Berry of the USA, and his beloved son, Da’Juan Andrews of the USA. He also leaves behind his parents, Benjamin and Ruby Andrews; his siblings and their spouses, Ghodrall Andrews, Joy Andrews, Judy Bagot, and Nirmala Persaud; his nieces, Donnette, Leya, and Kena Andrews, Deon Sobers, Maryann King, Wesliyann Bagot, Destiny and Melody Samuels, and Samira and Zoya Need; and his nephews, Devon, Delon, Delroy, and Gavin Andrews, Winston Yearwood, Jahvey White, and Jayden Bagot.

Also left to mourn are his aunts and uncles, Lavern Warner, Pauline Brown, Joycelyn Renee, Rev. Velma Davids, William, Uburn, Robert, and Patrick Pyle, Ruben Gilbert, and their respective spouses; and a wide circle of cousins including Jvette Hall, David Andrews, Melinda Davids, Seion Pyle, Minnette Rodney Glasgow, Cindy Lewis, Joel Warner, Orlando Pyle, Trevlon Pyle, Julius Pyle, Kwesi Renee, James Goodluck, Kenrick Bollers, Jean Peters Leitch, Carlton Leitch, Noreen Pellew, Dexter Jameer, Bridget Jackman, Velma Nichols Tafawah, Nigel Pyle, Sikie Pyle, Andrea Bacchus, and all their siblings. He also leaves behind many great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends too numerous to mention, all of whom loved him dearly.
