On September 5, 2024 ,Paul Maurice Andre Frison, 87, loving husband, father, and Gramps who dedicated his life to the happiness and success of his family went home to Jesus. Paul was reunited with his beloved wife, Barbara, and grandson Christian David Elders.
Paul was born in Glendale, California on March 9,1937 . His life was full of many accomplishments. Paul was a child actor in Hollywood, Eagle Scout, graduated from Hoover High School and earned his degree from Occidental College in 3 years. Upon graduation he taught 6th grade and then went on to serve in the US Coast Guard as a lieutenant and Admiral's Aide.
Paul began his fascinating and diverse business career which took him and his family all over the world living in various US locations, Ontario Canada, Brussels Belgium, and for the past 50 years Houston.
Paul filled many Executive positions throughout his business career. Paul was Vice -President of International Operations for American Hospital Supply , President and CEO of LifeMark, ComputerCraft and LifeCell. In 1999 Paul founded the Houston Technology Center and went on to be its’ President and CEO. He continued to have an active role until 2020.
For all his business acumen and excellence Paul’s true passion was his family. Paul married his high school sweetheart, Barbara, on Dec 21, 1957, and they were married for 65 years before she went to heaven last year. Paul was an avid exerciser all his life. He was a charter member of The Houstonian Club where he and Barbara spent regular hours in the gym. He ran many marathons including the New York and Houston Marathons . He completed many triathlons.
Paul was a steadfast member of Second Baptist Church since 1988 . This past year Paul started attending the Tuesday morning Iron Men Bible study with his son -in -law, Phil as he lovingly called “The Dude”. He was baptized in a very special Christmas Eve service by Phil and his brother Pastor Perry Elders.
In the past few years he enjoyed meeting new friends and participating in the activities at The Tradition Woodway . His favorite activities included daily exercise class , movie nights, live musical presentations and cheering on his Houston Astros.
Paul dedicated his life to the happiness and success of his family. He is survived by his daughter Maryanne Elders and son -in law- Phillip Elders and grandchildren Matthew Elders and Laney Elders. His daughter, Jill Cortez, and grandchildren Max Cortez, Jake Cortez and Sofie Cortez and their father Steve Cortez .
His motto was ”Don’t Confuse Efforts with Results”. The family would like to thank our 3 faithful caregivers, Lily Yohannes, Princess Celeste , and Peggy Backman and all the staff at the Tradition who made his last days full of excellent loving care.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 16th at 1:00 pm in the Hankamer Chapel at Second Baptist Church 6400 Woodway Dr, Houston Texas 77057, with a reception following in the Deacon’s Parlor.
