

Paul Henry Hallett, a beloved resident of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 28, 1932, in Birdsnest, Virginia, Paul was a man of remarkable character, known for his humor, hard work, honesty, resilience, and selflessness. He was wise, devoted, generous, faithful, and beloved by many. His loyalty and bravery were inspirational, and he was a kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Paul proudly served his country, initially in the United States Army for three years before enlisting in the Air Force, where he served for an additional twenty-four years. After his distinguished military career, he worked for NASA for a decade and then for the United States Postal Service, from which he eventually retired. Paul also owned and operated his own business, Hallett's Upholstery, in Houston, Texas.
He was a devoted family man, marrying his wife, Leola Rayson Hallett, on November 20, 1954. Paul is survived by his wife Leola, his daughters Donna Price (Deljon) and Paula Hallett, his son Mickel Rason (Diane), and his son Paul L. Hallett. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret Spells and Louise Hallett, as well as nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ronna Bailey, great-grandson Tre'Veon Belton, and granddaughter Mylinda Rason.
In addition to his family and professional life, Paul was an active member of the Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, where he contributed to his community with the same generosity and devotion he showed in all aspects of his life.
A funeral service will be held at the Houston National Cemetery, located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, on October 6, 2025, at 12:45 pm.
Paul's legacy of kindness, loyalty, and bravery will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
