Paul Keith Harris

After 71 years of life, love, and cherished memories, Paul “PK” Harris, peacefully departed this earthly life on the morning of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.

Paul was born in Houston, Texas, to David and Willie Harris. He was the fifth of eight children: David Harris Jr. (deceased 2008), Norma Pearl Moore, John Dwaine Jones, Sherman Laurence Harris (Gwendolyn Harris), William David Harris (Rovis Harris), Vernita Beth Harris, and Julia Harris Busby (Donald Busby).

Born and raised in Houston, TX, Paul accepted Christ at an early age at New Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He attended Sam Houston High School, graduating in 1973.

Following high school, Paul answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force on September 10, 1974. Paul was a member of the 3702 Squadron, Flight 1022 Crew, Lackland Air Force Base. Later, he was stationed at Homestead Air Force Base in Miami, Florida, where he proudly served and earned his Sergeant (Sgt) ranking working as an Airplane Electrical Engineer. After four years, Paul completed his military assignment and return home to Houston, Texas.

Paul then continued his career as a chemical plant operator dedicating 35 years of his professional life to GB BioScience Corporation, where he built a career marked by commitment, hard work, and dedication.

Paul enjoyed bowling, fishing and was an avid golfer who truly loved the sport. He loved traveling across the United States to participate in and compete in various golf tournaments. He was also a proud member of the Black Golfer Association, Houston Chapter.

He is survived by his two beloved daughters Monique Benjamin and husband Colby Benjamin, Camillia Moses and husband Gary Moses Sr.; a legacy of five grandchildren who brought tremendous joy and pride to his life: Colby Benjamin Jr., Ziair Benjamin, Gary Moses Jr., Zalay Benjamin and Carson Moses.

Paul will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, his dedication to those he cared about, his passion for golf and travel, and the memories he created throughout his 71 years.

Though his earthly journey has come to an end, his legacy will continue through his children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives he touched.

He will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, US, on September 14, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A Committal Service will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, US, on September 14, 2026, from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm.
