January 4, 1948 – May 7, 2019
Paul Allen Lippold, beloved husband, father, and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was born to Herman and Atrella Lippold on January 4, 1948, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Memorial High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Texas Christian University. Paul married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Cron Lippold on August 16, 1969. He was devoted to her, and they were happily married for almost 50 years.
Paul chose to begin his work career with his father continuing the family printing business, the Photo-Lith Company, for 32 years. In 2002, Paul and his two sons founded Lippold Custom Homes, where he was an owner and superintendent. He found great happiness in working together with his sons, like he had worked with his own father. Although he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2017, he continued working until the cancer metastasized to his brain. He spent his last days at home, loved and cared for by his wife and children.
Paul found the greatest joy in two things: spending time at the family river house with his wife, children, and grandchildren, as well as being with his church family at Second Baptist South, attending worship, Bible Study, Midweek and serving people in need. He also enjoyed traveling and snorkeling with his wife in many beautiful places to see God’s amazing creation.
Paul is survived by his wife, Nancy Cron Lippold, his three children and their spouses, and eight grandchildren: Ryan and Sharidan Lippold, Kendall, Porter, Keegan, and Riley; Neal and Allenson Lippold, Lane and Logan; Alicia and Stuart Petty, Reagan and Madison.
Following a private family burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, the Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Dr. Houston, Texas 77057.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Second Baptist Church.

Nancy and Paul were one of those couples that inspired others with their care and concern for their elders as well as their children and grandchildren. I had the pleasure of visiting their river home and saw there the joy they experienced with all those who visited. What a fantastic place to gather with those you love!
Nancy has been my friend from Markettes for many decades. I know that the loss of Paul will be profound, and that each day must be a new beginning.
Sending love and hope for memories that last a lifetime.
