It is with heavy hearts that we announce Paul Joseph Nantz, 75, of Houston, Tx., passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025. Paul was born on February 25, 1950, in Des Plaines, Il. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. To have known him was to love him. Like any true Chicagoan from the North side, you would hear “Go Cubs Go” when his cherished Chicago Cubs were playing. Or his famous “Da Bears” when he was rooting on his esteemed Chicago Bears. Let us not forget his rendition of Notre Dame’s Alma Mater regardless of the game’s outcome. It was a marvel to behold. His loyalty to his treasured teams never wavered through the seasons. Fondly remembered for his love of animals, rescuing many of his own throughout his life. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary; brother, Andy (Carol) Nantz; his children, Joseph Nantz and Andrea (Jason) Nance; his grandchildren, Rachel, Esperanza, Joseph, Nicholas, James, and Jacob; and two great-grandchildren. Paul is predeceased by his parents, Milton and Sari, brothers Joseph & John. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2025, at 2 PM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek.
In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to Friends for life-Houston, a rescue Paul felt strongly about. https://friends4life.org.
