Our beloved Popo went to be with the lord on November 3 2022 at the age of 70
Paul was born on July 15 1952 to Sostenes & Julia Rodriguez in Houston Tx he was 1 of 13 brothers and sisters. During an early age while attending Sherman Elementary Paul would stumble upon the love of his life Wanda Ojeda. In January of 1971 the two would exchange vows in holy matrimony. Paul and Wanda would go on to have 5 children 4 sons and 1 daughter. Paul worked for the City Of Houston in the traffic and transportation department as a sign processor for 25 years where he would later retire. During his time at the city when Paul wasn't testing the durability of his vehicle on The Hardy Toll Rd he would partake in what would later become his greatest life legacy ; coaching little league baseball for 23 years. Creating countless top notch coaches, multiple D1 college athletes, and graduates, business executives, extraordinary fathers and a princess.....
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Wanda Rodriguez sons Paul Rodriguez Jr, Ulysus Rodriguez (Griselda), Elias Rodriguez (Monica), Julius Rodriguez (Elissa) and Daughter Rhonda Rodriguez (Anthony); siblings Rebecca Trujillo, Rachel Triado (Junior) , Nina and Sarah, Thomas Rodriguez, and David Rodriguez ( Linda); 15 grandchildren Lucinda (Joe), Diego (Kaitlin), Clarissa (Edgar), Ulysus Jr (Priscilla), Isaiah, Joel, Michael, Zachary, Roxanne, Elias Jr, Sophia, Julius II, Anthony Jr, and Fernando; 4 great grandchildren Leonidas, Mathias, Addison, Ayla; countless nieces, nephews, and brother and sister in laws.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sostenes Jr, Bobb, Manual, Roger, Morris; sisters Teresa, Mandy; and granddaughter Natalya.
A visitation for Paul will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A prayer service will occur Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A mass will occur Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St., Houston, TX 77009. A reception will start at 11:30am on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 3703 Irvington Blvd, Houston, Texas 77009.
