

He was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and graduated from Spruce Creek High School, Port Orange, Florida.
He was married to Christie Nichelle Whigham for over 3 years and together for 7 years.
Paul loved to be called by his middle name "Bernard" or "Mister B." He was also called adoringly by his grandchildren "Poppa B."
Bernard work as an Independent Owner/Operator Truck Driver with United Petroleum Transport (UPT). Before he took a leap of faith and became his own boss, he worked for Raceway Gas and Love's Travel Stop where he hauled fuel and gained many great friends.
He was a member of the Fatboy Kennel Club, and had a passion for raising his beloved Pit Bull Terriers.
He also was a diehard fan of the New England Patriots NFL, and would win many bets with his team and beat many people on Madden NFL with his team.
Bernard loved his family and friends dearly and if he claimed you as a friend you were blessed to have him as one. He loved the women in his life and was the protector of them all. He honored his wife and loved her as she loved him, infinitely.
He is survived by his wife Christie N. Whigham; mother, May Bell Whigham; siblings, Sherman (Connie) Cummings and Sharon D. Robinson; children, Skiosha M. Whigham, Sanihya M. Whigham, Sarah B. Whigham, Latoya J.E. Samuel, Briattane M.C. (Justin M.) Williams Sr., Ashlynn N.S. (James F.) Parks III, Darren L Richards Jr., Kenney F. Morris Jr. and Kendell J. Morris; grandchildren, Jordynn A.L. Parks, Aamir K.N. Samuel, Jayde A.L. Parks, Justin M. Williams Jr., Maison A. Richards, Aidyn G.J. Parks, Jaxcyn M. Williams and Kamila K.G. Morris; nephew. Sherman "Ray" (Gwendolyn) Cummings Sr.; nieces, Jessica R. Cummings and Raycholle S. Cummings; great-nieces, Halo N. Cummings and Jaelyn B. Cummings and great-nephew Sherman R. Cummings Jr.
Bernard has many uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family that are not forgotten, as he loved and cherished them all dearly. Eric (LaKeisha) Pardue, his brother from another mother forever, best friend Randy (Tonia) Phillips, his dog Kennel Club brothers, Don Woods and Bejamin White.
I want to thank you all on behalf of my amazing and wonderful husband, for being there for him in his last days and giving him unconditional love. Bernard also affectionately known as "Mr. B" is the definition of strength, courage, and a real man. His love will live on infinitely through all he loved and who loved him.
A visitation for Paul will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 29, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 29, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A reception will occur Friday, April 29, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068.
