She was born on September 18, 1959, in Houston, Texas. Paula loved people, and had a long, colorful career working in many different service industries. Her personality made her perfect for the job of tending bar, which she did happily for the last thirty years.
Paula lived a beautiful life — she was a shining example to even the most devout religious person. She always practiced the principle of do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Paula loved to laugh and make others happy. She never met a stranger and had the unique quality of being the smartest person in the room, but never acting as if she were aware of her intelligence. Paula had a special way of making everyone feel comfortable being themselves, just as she was. She was kind and generous; a hard worker who was so full of energy, she had trouble sitting still. While she kept herself busy, she was never too busy to help anyone who needed her. Although she sometimes scraped by, she was never too broke to help anyone in need, whether friend or foe, family or stranger.
Paula is survived by her parents, Bill and Elizabeth Reagin, of Porter; as well as her siblings, Ellen Hamilton of Houston, Susie Reagin of Houston, Frank Reagin of Houston, Lucy Illingworth of Des Moines, Iowa, Tom Reagin of Sealy, and Margot Martinez of Port Arthur. She was a loving aunt to her twenty nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews; a wonderful sister, a devoted daughter and friend, and a doting mama to her beloved dog Bandit.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8th at 2:00 p.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 20000 Loop 494, New Caney, Texas
There will be a Celebration of Life in Paula’s honor on Saturday, June 9th at 12:00 noon at Just A Bar, 13548 Beechnut St., Houston, Texas
