Paula Felipa Sanchez was born in Houston on January 3, 1951, and entered into eternal rest on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Sanchez; her mother, Bertha Gonzales; her daughter, Yvonne Ortiz; and her brothers-in-law, Joseph Valdez Sr. and Benjamin (Bambi) Garcia. She is survived by her sons: Emilio (Leticia) Salinas, Phillip (Eva) Salinas and Michael Salinas; her daughter, Angela Sanchez; her granddaughters: Vanessa and Kimberly Ortiz, Christina and Hannah Salinas, Ashley Salinas and Miranda Quiroga; her grandsons: Michael and Christian Salinas, and Gregory Sanchez; her great-granddaughters, Aubrey Rone and Hailey Martinez; her great-grandsons, Joshua Rone and Ian Martinez; her sisters, Delores Valdez and Beatrice Garcia; and her brother, Robert (Joann) De La Rosa Sr. Also left to cherish her memory are her nieces: Barbara (Thomas) Clemente, Cynthia Sanchez, Deborah (Lee) Garcia, Patricia (Phred) Hernandez, Stephanie (Omar) Penilla, and Melanie and Bertha De La Rosa; her nephews: Joseph (Hilda) Valdez Jr., Mark (Norma) Garcia, and Robert Jr., Devon “DJ” and Jonathan De La Rosa; her godchildren: Ruben Garcia, Darlene Rivera, Milan Clemente and Dominique Flores; and numerous other grand- and great-grand- nieces and nephews.

Paula was loved by many and will be dearly missed by everyone, especially by her devoted daughter, Angela. We will remember her fondly for her strength and courage. To die on Easter Sunday! The Lord is showing Paula how much He loved her. She is no longer struggling with her health and can now bask in the divine Light of our Lord in Heaven where all is perfect.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Crespo Funeral Home, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston. Final visitation at Crespo will be held on Tuesday, April 5, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian burial at 12:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4015 Sherman St., Houston; officiant: Reverend Rodolfo Sanchez, Pastor. Escorted cortege will depart the Church for graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, next to her beloved husband, Gregory.
