Pauline A Arguello

Pauline Ann Palermo Arguello, 84, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Born to Joe and Mary Passante Palermo, in Houston, Texas, Pauline graduated from Sam Houston High School. After a career as an X-ray Technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, she dedicated her life to her loving husband, children, and grandchildren.

After meeting the love of her life, Pauline married Norman Arguello on November 25, 1956, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, where she was a lifelong member. She and Norman had four children, Joseph, Yvette, Norman, and Raymond. Pauline was always proud of her family, faith, and Italian heritage, evidenced by her membership in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Amiketos Club, and as an active volunteer at St. Anne’s Catholic School. She was also a member of the St. Agnes Academy, St. Thomas High School, Texas A&M University, and the University of Texas Mother’s Clubs.

Preceded in death by her parents and son, Joseph, Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Norman Arguello; her children and their spouses: Yvette and Gary Wiatrek, Norman and Kala Arguello, and Raymond and Jennifer Arguello; her grandchildren: Katherine and Gregory Wiatrek, Emily Arguello, Zachary and Zoe Arguello; her brother and sister-in-law, Camello and Maryann Palermo; and her nephews: Joey and Damon Palermo, Norman Arguello Acuna; and niece Dora Arguello Acuna.

Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 9:30 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77098. Interment to follow in the Garden of Gethsemani at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
