Pauline Callas

She was born on the 12th of November 1925 in Muscatine, Iowa. Her family soon moved to Houston, Texas which became their long time home.

The Callas family was extremely close. Pauline had two sisters, Connie and Virginia, a brother John, and parents Sarah and Peter.

Pauline was a bright young woman who after receiving her Bachelor's Degree became a Houston school teacher. She later expanded her capabilities by adding librarian through a Master's Degree earned at night school.

She traveled the world when she could but believed there was no better place on Earth than Houston, Texas.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, brother -John Callas and sister Connie. She is survived by her sister Virginia Grassi and her husband Michael; nieces Sandra Garrido and her husband Robert, and Teresa Sapon and her husband Greg; and cousins Rita and Dr. George Gaines.

The funeral service is to be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 26th of November, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3511 Yoakum Boulevard in Houston, where Cathedral clergy are to officiate.

Interment is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.

In lieu of customary remembrances, donations may be directed to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in memory of Polly Callas
