Our loving mother, Pauline Clelia Assandri Hutchings, gently held in the loving arms of Jesus, was carried to her everlasting heavenly home on November 9, 2014. She was born in Genoa, Italy, 1922 and at the age of twenty-six met her dear husband Warren Hutchings of Minnesota USA . When meeting each other for the first time at her parent’s restaurant, it was love at first sight. Across the miles they journeyed to the United States where they settled in Texas. A treasure to all she knew, Pauline was loved by everyone. Her devotion to the Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, His Holy Blessed Mother Mary, God the Almighty Father, and The Holy Spirit, filled her every day life. She was very devoted to saying the Rosary every day among many other prayers taught to her by her mother from Italy. Pauline, gentle and kind, loving and compassionate, exemplified the image of the perfect mother and wife. Her art of cooking was the heart of the home. As a housewife and mother she raised three daughters who adored her dearly. She loved her life through the tough times and the happy times. She never gave up on any challenge that came her way. Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Warren Hutchings and daughter Margaret Howard Hutchings, survived by her daughters Maria Hutchings and Sharon Hutchings McLeod, also grand-daughters Jessica McLeod and Tracie Howard Watkins, and two great grandchildren Clelia and Michael Watkins. Mille bacci mamma.
The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Monday, November 17th beginning at 5:30 PM at Pat H. Foley Funeral Directors. A Rosary will begin at 7 PM. A Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 11 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4213 Mangum Rd. Houston. Entombment to follow at Forest Park Westheimer Mausoleum.
