

PAULINE XIMENES, 84, entered eternal life on November 29, 2013, joining her beloved husband Michele Ximenes, who preceded her in death. She was born to the late Arthur Victor and Veronica Brown in Melbourne, Australia on July 29, 1929. Pauline will live forever in our hearts and will be dearly missed by her sister, Selma, her daughter, Donna (Jay), and by her grandchildren Emily, Alana, Jimmy, and Noah.
Pauline was born and grew up in Melbourne, Australia, where she attended school, studying chemistry. After completing her degree, she moved to England with friends so she could see more of the world. She loved to travel and was always ready to join a group of friends on a trip. She eventually moved to Toronto, Canada, where she met and fell in love with Michele. They moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and were married. After their daughter was born, Pauline went back to school and earned a master’s degree in environmental science from Drexel University. Pauline moved to Ocean City, New Jersey where she spent many happy years working at Shore Memorial Hospital. In later years, Pauline moved to Houston to be closer to her grandchildren where she was always ready to bake a batch of cookies, read a story, or play a game.
A Memorial Mass will be Friday, December 13, 2013, at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 13th and Wesley Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham Avenue and Easton Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
