He is preceded in death by his brothers Telesforo Jr., Ramon, Jose, Adolfo, and his sister Dominga. He is survived by siblings, Ana Maria and Alfredo.
Pedro was married for 50 years to Maria Elena Bautista Delgado, who passed away in 2010. Together they had three children Ruben (Norma) Delgado, Genevieve Mora, and Bella Angelina Delgado. Pedro had five grandchildren: Hope (Bryan) Rhodes, Duran Ortiz, (deceased) Natalie Ortiz, Ruben Vincent (Greizy) Delgado, Christy (Jose) Rivas. He had four great grandchildren: Christian (Sydney) Rhodes. Bo Rhodes, Isabella Delgado and Alexandria Rivas. He also had one great, great grandchild, Rev Rhodes.
Pedro was a jack of all trades. He built our family home in Ohio and our home in Houston. There was nothing he couldn’t repair as a master carpenter but his passion was playing the accordion. He played with local bands in Ohio and the Texas Valley and was featured in a TV episode of Acordeones de Tejas.
He was a humble but larger than life man and he will be missed. Thank you friends and family for your support, prayers, and kind words. He lived a wonderful life and as he would always say, “Play it cool.”.
Active pallbearers will be Ruben V. Delgado, Christopher Bryan Rhodes, Jose Francisco Rivas, Clemente Delgado, Jose Delgado Jr., and Michael Andrew Ortega.
A public visitation will be held at the Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, located at 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077, on July 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue, beginning at 1:30 pm.
The committal service will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, on July 5, 2025, starting at 2:30 pm.
