

Pete will be lovingly remembered by wife of 26 years, Maria Corona, his four children, Amanda Naomi Hernandez, Pedro Hernandez, Jr., Ricardo Hernandez, Ernesto Hernandez and grandson Jaxson Cruz Jenkins and soon to be granddaughter Jenkins, his siblings, nieces, nephews, and numerous family members and friends.
Pete is predeceased by “Pampo” Severiano Barajas, Grandfather, and “Mommy” Petra C. Barajas, Grandmother and Nicholas B. Hernandez, Brother.
Pete was born on October 24, 1967, in Houston, Texas to Ester Barajas and Nicolas Hernandez. He was raised by his loving grandparents Severiano and Petra Barajas who taught him to be a respectable man. After graduating from G.C. Scarborough High School, Class of 1987, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps achieving the rank of Corporal. For his service, he earned a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Letter of Appreciation, National Defense Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 6pm-9pm with a Rosary service at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 9am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Houston National Cemetery.
