Pedro Banda Ibarra

Pedro B. Ibarra JR, affectionately known as Pete, passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 83 in Houston, Texas. Born on October 10, 1940, in Wealder, Texas, he lived a life rich with love and passion for his family.

A devoted husband to Carmen, Pedro was a strong-willed yet caring father. He leaves behind three beloved children: Gloria, who is married to Will and has two children, Austin and Alexandra; Hector, who is married to Veronica and has three kids, Hector, Iris, and Natalie; and Bessy Rodriguez is the oldest daughter whose daughter Laura also has three children, Laila, Denise, and Walter. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will always cherish the memories they shared.

Pedro enjoyed tinkering around the house, taking pride in fixing things and spending time in the yard. He found joy in watching ball games, especially football and baseball, often sitting down at the end of the day to catch a game on TV. His love for rancheras filled his home with music, while his palate was delighted by Carmen's cooking, but loved a burgers and fries.

Though he could be a stubborn man, Pedro’s love for his family was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Pedro will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10:30 AM, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 15, 2024, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
