It is with our deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Pedro (Pete) Silva, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who passed away peacefully in his home in Spring, Texas, on March 24, 2025. Pete was 77 years old, born on February 23, 1948, to his parents Isidro and Paula Silva.
He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Castro; daughter, Esther Gonzales; parents, Isidro and Paula Silva.
Pete is survived by his daughters, Annette Gonzales (Robert), Connie Herrera; son, Jesse Castro (Lydia); grandchildren Adrian and Austin Gonzales, additional grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Pete had a strong Catholic faith, and he always made sure to tell everyone he saw, “Bye-bye and God Bless You!” He made sure to wear a rosary and built an altar for worship wherever he lived.
During his young adult life, he actively served the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He was a proud veteran who shared many stories with his family. He was a very wise man who loved giving his grandchildren advice on life. His happiest times were spent with his family and family pets.
Pete was a simple man but did strive to be the best he could. He enjoyed listening to music, watching western movies, scratching lottery tickets, birdwatching, and going for walks around his neighborhood.
Pete will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts. It was a great pleasure knowing and loving him. He was very kind and generous; he had the biggest heart and was deeply devoted to his family.
To the greatest man we have ever known, we salute you sir!
