Penny M. Short-Goeser

Penny will be missed by everyone that knew her, especially her family. She grew up in South Houston, Texas and received her Bachelor’s of Psychology from the University of Houston. She worked for the state of Texas with the department of criminal justice as a Case Manager and was a licensed chemical dependency counselor. She also worked for Katy ISD as a substitute teacher.

Penny is survived by her loving husband of 25 years Craig Goeser; sons, Cody Goeser and Nicholas Goeser; parents, Harold and Yvonne Short; brother, Mark David and wife Glenna Short; sister, Paige and husband Shane Prater; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Colleen Goeser; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Donna Goeser; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Milton Doubrava; brother-in-law Bob Technik along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will take place at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
